*an appeal for part-time jobs*

|

This is an appeal going out to anyone who might know of any one-off or part-time jobs anytime within the period of mid-May to mid-August.

If you guys have any lobang, please do let me know, because I want to try and see if I can earn some money, which may make a difference in whether I can do my masters overseas or not.

Please do email me at audrey@intuios.com, should you have any lobangs. I am keen to take on almost any job that can help me earn money quickly, except of course, jobs against my moral and religious principles =p

COUNTDOWN:

Today is 30 April, Saturday

BIG E1: 25 April, Monday, 1 pm [leaving it in the Lord's hands]
BIG E2: 6 May, Friday, 9 am (5 days to BIG E2)
FREEDOM: 7 May, Saturday (7 days to FREEDOM!)

All you Amazing Race fans out there, if you had watched tonite's episode, you would have known that Ron and Kelly came in last (out of the remaining four couples) but they weren't eliminated. As is customary for the teams that came in last, they had to give up all their money (this time, they had to give up their bags in addition to their money)and continue with the race.

However, you would also have known that each team had to bring a gnome back with them to the pitstop. What the teams didn't know was that at the bottom of the gnome, there were stickers pasted. If a sticker of an airplane was found at the bottom of the gnome, the team were entitled to $20,000 to spend on Travelocity packages after the race, and were also entitled to a one night's stay at the Four Seasons Hotel that night, while all the teams settled their own accomodation.

Little did the last team know that God had provided for them so snugly. Even though they had to give up all their belongings and all their money, they had a posh hotel room to stay in and food to go with it, courtesy of Travelocity, and the Lord's provision. Amen! The Lord truly provides!

*no worries*

|

i was worried about not having lunch, and my mum bought home duck rice for me, which fulfilled my wish for a filling lunch without having to step out of the house ... and my mum bought 8 days too! Praise God for 2 wishes struck off the wish list and for a great mum!

i was worried about what dinner i would have, and i ended up having the yummiest porridge with bovril (super yummy!), salted eggs, cauliflower and fishcake, and bah kua ... yum yum :) mum's a great cook, i'll tell the world!

incidentally, my previous post proclaiming the above had to be eaten up by the blog-writer so i had to rewrite everything, but that is small, compared to my 2 yummy meals :) so yups, no worries!

*moving home*

|

i've moved back home from hall today, or at least, i still have my room but i'm not staying in hall during this exam period, like i normally do ... so here i am typing from the comforts of my own room at home, yearning to be back in hall again and also to enjoy the comforts of home ...

but officially if i'm not wrong, checkout from pgp is on the 9th of may, so after my last paper ends on the 6th of may, i still have about 2 plus days to move the remaining bulk of stuff out of hall, as if 17 bursting bags today was not enough =p

and moving back home also means that i had better start studying for exams, and yes i have not started, why? cos of all the admin stuff which are still not fully complete, argh! but thank God, after spending three days and nights at it, i think i can push most of the stuff to after the exams and still not risk not having a room if i do go overseas to do my Masters and stuff like that ... but of course, within these few days, i still have a few admin tasks to clear here and, waiting for a few reference letters, posting off some packages and stuff, editing personal statements ... aiyo, life's tough man ...

but like a nice little poster that i bought to remind me about, "Things Always to Remember" (Collin McCarty) says, "You'll make it through whatever comes along" and "Don't take things too seriously" and so i'll start to relax and lighten up by taking a nice long shower =) cya!

*insomnia*

yes, i know it's late, the clock should actually reflect 4.10am and not whatever you see on the screen.

why am i awake at such an ungodly hour? beats me, all i know is that i can't sleep :(

maybe it's because i have so much studying to do, but i haven't started.
maybe it's because i can't get started on studying because i have so much admin stuff to settle.
maybe it's because after 8 hours of doing admin stuff today, i'm still not done with admin stuff.
maybe it's because the portion of admin stuff that i thought i had fully settled today may not actually be complete cos i just checked my email and found out several discrepancies with what i have and what i'm supposed to have.

*bleah* this sucks. i detest admin stuff.

but on a much brighter note, i have been much happier over the past 2 days. more tired, stressed out and irritated by work and admin stuff. but much happier nonetheless. all because of a certain bird. thank you cheep for all you've done for me. you've really made a difference in my life! :) i don't know what i could have done without you.

*16 inches of water*

|

Currently Watching: Bridget Jones - The Edge of Reason

watched bridget jones yesterday on dvd ... thought it was okay ... but my favourite part of the whole show was this two-liner that took place in the scene when Mark and Daniel were both struggling in the fountain alongside the pavement ... picture this:

Daniel: So what are you gonna do, drown me in 16 inches of water?
Mark: Yeah, I think that's a pretty good idea.
(and then proceeds to try and submerge Daniel under 16 inches of water)

quite a lame scene, but it cracked me up tremendously =p okay, so i was tired after a long day and night without sleep, just what i needed to laugh out loud ...

nonetheless, despite the lameness of the scene, Mark's actions were actually quite sweet (awww...) ... cos he was trying to get back at Daniel for leaving Bridget in the lurch at the Thai airport when she was caught by the police for supposedly drug smuggling =p obviously, he still loves her.

*sorry for the spoiler for those who haven't watched the show, but seeing that most people would have already watched it, seeing that it is no longer out in the cinemas, i'll take the risk =p*
